Preventative Dentistry in London, Ontario
The Canadian Dental Association recommends regular cleaning and dental exams to keep your teeth healthy and free of decay. You should have your teeth cleaned at least once a year, although many patients come to us every six months.
Oral Hygiene
Your oral hygiene appointment begins with cleaning. Your hygienist will use special tools to completely remove plaque and tartar buildup from your teeth, including above the gumline where regular brushing can’t reach. We may also recommend a fluoride rinse to give your teeth more protection against cavities.
Dental Exam
Regular dental exams let us detect the first signs of decay, infection, or diseases such as oral cancer. Your dentist may also take X-rays of your teeth and jaws to detect any issues above the gumline.
