The wisdom teeth are a set of molars that begin to emerge when children are in their teens. Because there is often not enough room for the wisdom teeth to grow normally, it’s sometimes necessary to remove them before they emerge.
Wisdom teeth removal is a surgical procedure. The teeth are removed through small incisions in your gum tissue. After the removal, we close the incisions with sutures.
You may experience pain and discomfort after the procedure. We will provide post-surgical advice and we may prescribe painkillers to assist with pain management.
